Freycinet National Park

Freycinet is one of Australia’s most popular national parks and a true must-see if you’re in Tasmania.

Set on the backdrop of the Hazards Mountain Range and the azure waters of Coles Bay, there’s a park highlight almost everywhere you look. In particular, check out the stunning lookout points at the Cape Tourville Lighthouse, turquoise Honeymoon Bay, and the iconic, perfectly-shaped Wineglass Bay.

The park provides opportunities for a variety of activities including hiking, picnicking, swimming, snorkeling, and wildlife spotting — birdwatching, especially. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a white-bellied sea eagle or an Australasian gannet.
