10+ Day Trips from Brisbane

We love Brisbane, but these nearby destinations are just as fun!

1. Glass House Mountains National Park

Photo by Kristin, University of Queensland (home university: Purdue University)

Formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago, the Glass House Mountains are easily worth driving just an hour north of the city. The views of Mt Ngungun are especially breathtaking, and the forests and eucalypt woodlands surrounding the mountains host a wide array of animals and plants, several of which are of conservation significance.
